India was never really a country I had much of a desire to go to, but now, I cannot wait to get back. Thanks to the Timios Trust I was able to spend 7 weeks in India completing my nursing elective as well as some missionary work. The only way to describe my time in India is “a roller coaster” – from rural Raxaul to bustling Delhi, from watching a new life coming into the world to comforting those grieving a loved one, from the beautiful aromatic smells of street food to the foul open sewage – it was an amazing, roller coaster journey and I would not change one part of it.​

Who? What? When? Where? Why? 

I was in India throughout July and August of 2015 – low season for tourists, high time for humidity and rain! My time in India consisted of two parts; 4 weeks in a missionary hospital, and 2 weeks in a children’s home. I also had 3 days at the beginning and end of my trip in Delhi.
